Privacy Policy

This policy lists what personal information Focus Lab Coaching collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. I have kept it as plain as I can. If anything is unclear, please email me for further information.

Who I am

Focus Lab Coaching is run by Jo Bond, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. I am the data controller for the information described here. You can contact me at jo@focuslabcoaching.com.

What I collect and why

Mailing list. If you sign up for the Executive Functioning Wheel or subscribe to my emails, I collect your email address, and your first name if you give it. I use them to send you the download and occasional emails about ADHD, work and coaching. I only do this with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Sessions and packages. When you book a session or buy a package, your name and contact details are collected through Paperbell, along with any preparation forms you complete before we start. The only record I keep of our sessions is the transcript, unless you opt out, and this is handled as set out in your Client Agreement.

Payments. Payments are taken by Paperbell and processed securely by Stripe. I never see or store your card details. I only receive confirmation of what you paid and when.

Health information. The only health information I ask for is whether you have a formal ADHD diagnosis and whether you take medication for it. You do not have to answer either. The law treats this as especially sensitive, and I only use this information to support your coaching.

OS Profile. Your questionnaire answers are used only to create your profile. I write every profile myself. I use AI assistance only for the design of the finished document, and before anything goes into that tool I remove your name and contact details. The tool does not train on your data.

Website visits. I may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. This does not identify you personally.

Who else handles your information

I use a small number of trusted services to run Focus Lab. Each only processes your information on my instructions.

Some of these services store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. I never sell your information, and I never share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long I keep it

Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Client records are kept as set out in your Client Agreement. OS Profile questionnaire answers are deleted 12 months after your profile is sent. Financial records are kept for seven years to comply with UK tax law.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to see the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link at the bottom of any email. To make any other request, email me and I will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. I would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I use your information, I will update this page and the date above.
